Recovery phrases
With NFID, you have the option to generate a recovery phrase to help improve account security. If all your devices are lost, you can then use your recovery phrase to regain access to your NFID.
A recovery phrase is a randomly generated phrase that you can use to help regain access to your NFID. While it’s not required, using a recovery phrase improves the security of your account by putting you in control.
Using a recovery phrase provides flexibility, but it means that you’re responsible for maintaining access to your trusted devices and your recovery phrase. If you lose both of these items, you will be locked out of your account permanently. With that in mind, it's important to keep your recovery phrase in a safe place. You might want to keep copies in more than one secure place. That way you always have your recovery phrase when you need it.
